What kinds of problems are dealt with?


The easiest answer is – everything.  Employees use the Helpline and the structured counselling for a huge range of issues.  Sometimes it is simple advice on how to contact a single issue support group.  Other times people are bringing a multitude of problems that impact on every aspect of their lives.

Counselling is there for the big life changing events such as bereavement, addiction or the break up of a marriage, but also for the relatively smaller problems such as coping with a new job or making an important decision about the future.  It can be one session or a number of sessions.  That is negotiated between the employee and their counsellor.
