Employee Counselling Service sees itself as part of the Health & Safety strategy of the organisations it works with.  As you will be aware the Health & Safety Executive have issued Management Standards on stress.  The reports provided to employers about the use of the service by their employees use the Management Standards to record work related problems.  This will help employers in conducting risk assessments and identify “hot spots” by department, occupation or causes.

If employees raise health and safety issues in counselling they will be encouraged and assisted to take that concern back to the appropriate manager.
