When should I use counselling?
Counselling can be used as a one off session or a series of sessions with the same counsellor. It depends on the nature of the problem and what you are looking for. The earlier you use the service when things are starting to worry you the less support you will probably need.
Counselling is not just for the big life changing events such as bereavement, addiction or the break up of relationship it is there for things that make you worried or problems that you find hard to resolve. The structured approach provided by the counsellor often stops you going around in circles and gets you to the point for action.
